VOZ Speaker
Affordability often comes at an ecological cost. Plastic polymers ironically are molded, refined, and sold as luxury items. How can we create an up-cycled speaker while reducing its carbon footprint?
Research Excerpts:
“This borders on the idea of more of a craftsman’s project. The idea of creating consistent products from reclaimed wood is a bit of a stretch. Manufacturing this would be a nightmare, but perhaps some sort of by-product of reclaimed wood.”
— Max S. (Southern Lumber Employee)
“The idea of repurposing wood is a nice one but has no merit. A company’s manufacturing expenses may be more depending on the shape/form, and the time needed to refine the material.”
— Andy K. (CMF Specialist)
“Research composite materials that resemble the look and feel of wood and allow this product to “up-cycle“ or a similar version. Your goal is more to create a product that is still true to the problem of reducing waste […] the ideal would be not to make one at all for a zero eco foot print”
