FAQs

Do you offer any sort of coaching or mentorship?

This past year I began offering brief zoom and phone calls in order to help other creatives and small businesses navigate the pandemic. If you would like to have a conversation about design thinking or how to’s send me an email. I enjoy speaking at conferences, college/high school panels, and corporate events.

What is your price for just a logo?

I have a wide variety of services because I truly enjoy the creative field. I often collaborate and work with others in order to turn good ideas into great experiences. I’ll bring experts onboard whenever I see it fit for a project or deliverable- seldom are a company’s problem the lack of a logo.

We are a nonprofit, we don’t have much money to pay you can we still work with you?

I’ve worked for one for over 3 years and I understand the social good that comes from a nonprofit that does wonderful work in their community. We can work something out.

Me vs Fiverr

I highly encourage you simply refrain from pointing out the obvious— yes, I am sure you will find someone on Fiverr that will do X for $100. By all means, send them an email.

I need this done/completed by next week, can we skip all this?

In the years of creating designs and visual art, I’ve seen my fair share of mishaps and misunderstandings. Let’s avoid this by creating clear objectives and project proposals. It is well worth it in the end.

What is Visual Art?

The visual arts are art forms that create works that are primarily visual in nature, such as ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, video, film making, and architecture.

These definitions should not be taken too strictly as many artistic disciplines (performing arts, conceptual art, textile arts) involve aspects of the visual arts as well as arts of other types. Also included within the visual arts are the applied arts such as industrial design, graphic design, fashion design, interior design, and decorative art.

The importance of visual art

  • It helps your business stand out: Usually, in the form of branding, advertising and marketing, it visually represents your mission, core values, your commitment to a particular community, and serves to delight your current and future customers.

  • It can deliberately draw out an emotional response from your audience, customer, and employees.

  • It can add value to your business, property, and create equity for the brand.

What is Industrial Design?

Industrial Design (ID) is the professional practice of designing products, devices, objects, and services used by millions of people around the world every day.

Industrial designers typically focus on the physical appearance, functionality and manufacturability of a product, though they are often involved in far more during a development cycle. All of this ultimately extends to the overall lasting value and experience a product or service provides for end-users.

Every object that you interact with on a daily basis in your home, office, school or public setting is the result of a design process. During this process, myriad decisions are made by an industrial designer (and their team) that are aimed at improving your life through well-executed design. Why is product design important to your business?

  • Product design describes the process of imagining, creating, and iterating products that solve users' problems or address specific needs in a given market. The key to successful product design is an understanding of the end-user customer, the person for whom the product is being created.
